I grew up in Southern California playing trombone with The Long Beach Junior Concert Band, American Youth Symphonic Band, Arrowbear Music Camp and The USC Trojan Marching Band. I graduated from the American College of Switzerland and entered the restaurant business in 1984. I worked my way through the kitchens at The LA Hard Rock Cafe, Trumps, and Michael’s. In 1988 I graduated from Le Cordon Bleu London and went to work for Wolfgang Puck at Spago, West Hollywood. I worked my way through the ranks opening ten restaurants along the way to eventually become Food and Beverage Controller of Wolfgang Puck Catering & Events. In 2002, I left working for Wolfgang Puck to live on Maui. Since then I have worked as a controller, CFO, and consultant for various local companies including the University of Hawaii. I am fascinated by social networking, economics and psychology. I have two vlogs and a webcam which you will find on this site along with recipes and restaurant advice.
